HOW TO PARTICIPATE Voting Members: If you are participating from home, you will need a computer with an internet connection. If you will be attending at Brentwood UMC, please bring a smartphone or a tablet that allows you to get to the internet using a DATA plan - not WiFi. (With so many people in the sanctuary, we want to avoid overloading Brentwood's WiFi capacity.) Non-Voting Congregation Members: Worship and business sessions will be live streamed from twkumc.org/AC2022 PLEASE NOTE: Registration for Annual Conference 2022 ends this Sunday, June 12!
OFFERING: The Annual Conference Offering will be for TWK Disaster Response. Please plan to bring your church's offering with you to Brentwood. (If you participate online, a giving link will be posted for you during the conference.)

The Connector The first issue of The Connector magazine arrived in mailboxes last week! The TWK Communications team hopes you enjoy reading about some of the wonderful ministries in our conference. UMC Council of Bishops | Statement Denouncing Mass Shootings The UMC Council of Bishops has released a statement in response to the mass shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, TX. Read here. TWK Church & Society | Gun Violence Awareness Month Call to Action June is Gun Violence Awareness Month, and the TWK Church and Society team has published a call to action. A New Song On the fourth Sunday of every month, Seay-Hubbard UMC will host "A New Song," a coming together in Word and Song for people to worship God and reach across seemingly intractable boundaries in pursuit of racial reconciliation. The worship service is structured in such a way that participants can hear the voices of those who have been historically marginalized. The next service is on June 26. United Methodist Communications (UMCOM) Summer Advertising Campaign Summer may be vacation time, but the denominational advertising campaign from United Methodist Communications reminds us that local churches don't take a break from serving and ministering to communities. The ads encourage people to join The United Methodist Church in engaging in a season of togetherness. The ads will run this week through June 19th. Read more. Permissions Extended for Worship Materials As churches continue online worship, the United Methodist Publishing House is extending full permission to all churches for use of its copyrighted worship materials indefinitely. (This permission does not extend to events other than worship services.) Read more.
