ANNUAL CONFERENCE APP: The TWK Annual Conference app is now live! Please see these instructions to learn how to download the app. REVIEW THESE MATERIALS Please check the annual conference webpage often for updates as we continue to add documents for you to review to prepare for the annual conference. The following materials currently are available for review:

Disaffiliations will be among the items presented at this annual conference. The following article provides some information that you may find helpful: TWK Annual Conference Will Consider Requests for Disaffiliation from the UMC PHOTOS: Headshot photos will be made for a TWK Conference Directory! Please come photo-ready on Wednesday or Thursday during the annual conference.

FUN MEAL OPTIONS:

  • Deacons, Diaconals, and Deaconesses Lunch - Wednesday, June 15, at Glendale UMC (approximately 15 minutes from Brentwood UMC). Register now

  • Clergy Spouse Luncheon - Wednesday, June 15. Please answer this questionnaire to help them best plan and accommodate everyone.

  • Food, Fellowship, and Fun dinner option - Wednesday, June 15. More

HOW TO PARTICIPATE Voting Members: If you are participating from home, you will need a computer with an internet connection. If you will be attending at Brentwood UMC, please bring a smartphone or a tablet that allows you to get to the internet using a DATA plan - not WiFi. (With so many people in the sanctuary, we want to avoid overloading Brentwood's WiFi capacity.) Non-Voting Congregation Members: Worship and business sessions will be live streamed from twkumc.org/AC2022

OFFERING: The Annual Conference Offering will be for TWK Disaster Response. Please plan to bring your church's offering with you to Brentwood. (If you participate online, a giving link will be posted for you during the conference.)

The TWK Communications team hopes you enjoy reading about some of the wonderful ministries in our conference. You can read the digital version if you did not receive one in the mail. UMC Council of Bishops | Statement Denouncing Mass Shootings The UMC Council of Bishops has released a statement in response to the mass shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, TX. Read here. TWK Church & Society | Gun Violence Awareness Month Call to Action June is Gun Violence Awareness Month, and the TWK Church and Society team has published a call to action. Read more and get involved. United Methodist Communications (UMCOM) Summer Advertising Campaign Summer may be vacation time, but the denominational advertising campaign from United Methodist Communications reminds us that local churches don't take a break from serving and ministering to communities. The ads encourage people to join The United Methodist Church in engaging in a season of togetherness. The ads will run this week through June 19th. Read more. Permissions Extended for Worship Materials As churches continue online worship, the United Methodist Publishing House is extending full permission to all churches for use of its copyrighted worship materials indefinitely. (This permission does not extend to events other than worship services.) Read more.
