ENCORE Ministry 2022 Grant Awards & 2023 Grant Application Deadline ENCORE Ministry awarded $205,502 to 26 churches and organizations in 2022. Grant money helped fund a variety of projects benefitting older adults throughout the conference. Read more. ENCORE's grant application deadline for the first quarter of 2023 is February 16. Events and Learning Opportunities Transition Update and Youth Leadership Retreat Details The TWK Youth Transition Team recently met at Cedar Crest to plan and make goals for 2023. They are also excited about the TWK Youth Leadership Retreat on February 3-5 at Lakeshore! Read more and register for the retreat. Miriam's Promise Interim Family Care Information Session On February 9, Miriam's Promise is hosting an information session designed to help folks more actively support this ministry. Learn more and register. Lower Fee for Course on Dementia The auditing fee for the Memphis Theological Seminary course on dementia with Bishop Kenneth Carder is now $220. The deadline to audit this course is January 20. Learn more and audit now. Scholarships Available for United Methodist Students! Applications are now open for scholarships from the United Methodist Higher Education Foundation (UMHEF) and the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry (GBHEM). Every year, UMHEF awards $2+ million to students planning to attend one of the 100+ UM-related colleges, universities, and seminaries across the country. Apply by March 1. The deadline to apply for scholarships from the GBHEM is March 30. Apply now. In 2022, 18 students throughout the TWK conference were awarded scholarship monies by GBHEM to attend 15 universities, divinity schools, and seminaries.
