New Podcast Focuses on Anti-Racism As Christian Discipleship

“Expanding the Table,” a new video podcast series from the General Commission on Religion and Race, will debut on Tues., June 1, 2021. Series guests will focus on how individual Christians and church-based entities can and should engage the work of racial justice-making and anti-racism. More


UMW Program Advisory Group Hold First Meeting of 2021-2024 Quadrennium

The 2021-2024 UMW Program Advisory Group met in March for orientation and preparation for their work this quadrennium. This group, which has members from every UM conference as well as national and global partners, prepares recommendations regarding mission priorities, mission education work and program guidance for UMW for the next four years. Creation Care Event

Creation Care will be hosting an event on May 26 featuring a presentation by the Rev. Ann Cover - "Gardens: Rethinking Land Use at our Houses of Worship." A garden can benefit the environment, a congregation and its community. Using the experiences of the garden at South End United Methodist Church, we will examine these benefits and the work involved in sustaining gardens. Registration


Grants Available for Local Church Racial/Ethnic Ministries

Grants up to $10,000 will be available this fall from Discipleship Ministries to strengthen leadership training, small groups, worship, stewardship and spiritual formation in ethnic local United Methodist churches. More


Warmth in Winter Digital Package Now Available!

For groups who weren’t able to participate in this year’s WNW retreat, the virtual sessions, including worship and speakers’ messages, along with the Leader’s Guide and Sacred Space guide are now available in a digital-only package for $150 at Warmth in Winter 2021 - Digital Package.


Tennesseans Have Time to Apply for Federal Help with COVID-19 Funeral Expenses

The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency encourages Tennesseans who lost loved ones to COVID-19 to apply for the assistance that is still available from the Federal Emergency Management Agency to help with funeral expenses. Read more
