The waters of adversity, trauma, heartache, fear, anxiety and anger have come up to our necks…We can’t hide what we are feeling as we are in a whirlwind of emotions. Hurricanes preparing to batter our coasts and send torrential rains to some already flooded and death-filled areas. The fires almost seem too numerous to count as the smog makes it difficult to breathe; sometimes carrying haze across the country. Earthquakes in Haiti that have caused thousands of deaths with flooding while they were still grappling with the last trauma. Violent and deadly evacuations in Afghanistan where innocents lose their lives daily. Flooding in West Tennessee where our neighbors and friends have been swept away in waters that covered their town where homes were floating pieces of lumber.
Deaths from covid continue to increase with our precious children seeming to be the target of the variant.
We know You are always present O God and that You are closer than our heartbeat. Pour out Your Holy Spirit on us and comfort our grieving overwhelmed hearts.
Come, Lord Jesus and save Your people…
